Croatia — Mljet & Pelješac

Best Anchorages in Mljet & Pelješac

Mljet National Park has some of Croatia's most spectacular anchorages — Roman ruins at the waterfront in Polače, a 12th-century island monastery in the saltwater lakes, and Okuklje's perfect all-round shelter. The Pelješac Peninsula adds medieval Ston and world-class red wine country. These 9 verified anchorages cover depth, NP buoy rules, and alarm radius.

Mljet National Park — Mandatory Buoys

Inside Mljet NP: Free anchoring is PROHIBITED — mooring buoys are mandatory. Daily entry fee €15–25/person applies. Polače Jul–Aug: All buoys taken by 10:00 — arrive before dawn or anchor outside the park (Okuklje and Prozura are outside NP). Mljet Lakes: No anchoring in Malo or Veliko Jezero. Pelješac Channel: Strong tidal currents at the narrows; plan passages carefully.
