Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 24, 2026
1. Introduction
Dijital Kafa Bilisim ve Danismanlik A.S. (“we”, “our”, or “Company”) operates the Safety Anchor Alarm application (“App”) for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App on any supported platform. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Location Data
The App requires access to your device's GPS to function. The following location data is processed:
- Current device position (to determine your boat's location relative to the anchor point)
- Anchor point coordinates (the GPS position where you set your anchor)
- Saved anchor locations (positions you choose to save for future reference)
Important: All location data is processed and stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit, upload, collect, or store your location data on any external servers. Your location data never leaves your device, except for local transfer to a paired Apple Watch as described in Section 2.4.
2.2 Background Location Access
The App uses “While Using the App” location permission with a background location indicator (blue bar) to monitor your anchor position when the device screen is locked or you switch to other apps. Background location access is activated only when you explicitly start an alarm session and stops immediately when you stop the alarm.
2.3 Purchase Data
We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to process and manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your purchase history from the Apple App Store to verify your subscription status and enable premium features. RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier and does not collect personally identifiable information. RevenueCat uses this data for subscription management (App Functionality) and aggregated analytics (such as subscriber counts and revenue reporting).
For more information, please see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
2.4 Apple Watch Data
If you use the companion Apple Watch app, the following data is transferred locally from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch via Apple's WatchConnectivity framework:
- Current boat position, distance from anchor, and bearing
- Alarm status (safe, warning, or danger) and alarm sound commands
- Anchor point coordinates and safe radius settings
- GPS accuracy and heading information
The Apple Watch does not use its own GPS or any other sensor to determine location. All location data, distance calculations, and alarm decisions are made exclusively on the iPhone and sent to the Apple Watch for display purposes only. The Apple Watch acts solely as a remote display and alert device.
This data is transferred directly between your paired devices over Bluetooth/Wi-Fi using Apple's secure WatchConnectivity protocol. No data is sent to any external server. The Apple Watch does not store persistent data — all information is held in memory only while the Watch app is active and is discarded when the app closes.
2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
- Account credentials (no account creation or registration is required)
- Payment or financial information (all payments are processed securely by Apple)
- Browsing or search history
- Device advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Cookies or tracking technologies
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or other personal files
- Health, fitness, or biometric data
- Analytics or usage behavior data
3. How We Use Information
3.1 Location Data
Location data is used exclusively on your device for the following purposes:
- Monitoring your boat's position relative to the set anchor point
- Calculating the distance between your boat and anchor
- Triggering alarms when the distance exceeds the safe radius you defined
- Displaying your position on the in-app map
- Saving anchor points to your local anchor history
- Calculating chain length and swing circle using the built-in sailing tools
- Displaying real-time status on Live Activities and Dynamic Island
- Displaying anchor status, distance, and alarm alerts on the companion Apple Watch app
3.2 Purchase Data
Purchase data is used to:
- Verify and manage your subscription status
- Enable or restrict access to premium features
- Process subscription purchases and restorations through the Apple App Store
4. Data Storage and Security
- Storage: All app data (location history, anchor points, settings, preferences) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms.
- Cloud Sync: We do not sync, upload, or back up any of your data to any cloud service or external server.
- Third-Party Access: We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your data to any third parties, except as described in Section 5.
- Data Deletion: All locally stored data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App. You can also delete individual anchor records and saved locations at any time within the App.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Apple Maps
The App uses Apple Maps to display map data. Apple's own privacy practices apply to the map tiles and data rendered within the App. We encourage you to review Apple's Privacy Policy.
5.2 RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts from the Apple App Store using an anonymous identifier. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any personal information from our App.
5.3 No Advertising or Analytics SDKs
The App does not include any third-party advertising, ad tracking, behavioral analytics, or user profiling SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). The App is designed for adult sailors and boaters. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. International Users
The App is available worldwide. All data processing occurs locally on your device. Since we do not transmit personal data to external servers, cross-border data transfer does not apply to locally processed data. The only data transmitted externally is purchase verification data sent by RevenueCat to their servers, which may be located outside your country of residence. Please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on their data processing practices.
8. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- Access: All your data is visible and accessible within the App at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete individual anchor records, clear your anchor history, or uninstall the App to remove all data.
- Permission Control: You can revoke location permission at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription through iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
For EEA/UK/GDPR Users
Since we do not collect or transmit personal data to external servers (with the exception of anonymized purchase data via RevenueCat), most GDPR data processing provisions do not apply. However, you may contact us at any time to exercise your rights under applicable data protection laws.
For California/CCPA Users
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, CCPA access and deletion requests are addressed through the local device controls described above.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
