Best Anchorages in the Zadar Archipelago
The Zadar Archipelago stretches from the sheltered channels of Ugljan and Pašman to the wild outer islands of Dugi Otok, Molat, and Ist. Telašćica Nature Park offers one of Croatia's most dramatic anchorages — surrounded by 161m cliffs and a saltwater lake. These 9 verified anchorages cover depth, Bura exposure, Telašćica park rules, and anchor alarm radius.
Zadar Archipelago — Key Rules & Hazards
Telašćica Nature Park: Daily entry fee applies. Mooring buoys MANDATORY inside the park — free anchoring is NOT permitted. Park wardens patrol June–September. Sakarun Beach (Dugi Otok): 150m beach exclusion zone applies Jun 15–Sep 15. Outer islands (Molat, Ist): No provisions, no fuel — be fully self-sufficient. Bura: Reaches the archipelago with significant force across the channels between outer islands. Watch for cloud cap on Velebit mountains as early warning.
