About This Anchorage

Rade d'Agay is one of the most scenically spectacular anchorages on the Riviera — the deep red porphyry cliffs of the Esterel massif drop vertically into turquoise water, making it immediately recognizable from seaward. The bay offers good Mistral shelter and is well positioned as a transit anchorage between Cannes and Toulon. Saint-Exupéry (author of The Little Prince) was last seen departing Agay on his fatal reconnaissance mission in 1944.
