All Turks Islands anchorages are open roadsteads on the west side of the islands — exposed to north and northwest. Cold front northers January–March can arrive with 30–40kt within hours. Monitor weather forecasts continuously. Tidal range 0.6–0.9m plus strong Turks Island Passage tidal current. No anchoring on coral — DECR enforcement. Grand Turk and Salt Cay are official customs ports of entry. Humpback whale regulations apply January–April: maintain 15m minimum distance under power.
