About This Anchorage

Parlatuvier Bay is a gem of a fishing village anchorage on Tobago's north Caribbean coast — one of the most photogenic settings in the island. The small bay is flanked by steep jungle-covered headlands, and the beach is lined with brightly painted fishing pirogues in the Caribbean tradition. The village is a genuine, working fishing community with a limited but genuine local character. Provisioning is minimal — a small shop and some local food sellers. The anchorage is more sheltered than its neighbours on the north coast thanks to the compact bay shape and surrounding headlands. A popular stop on passage between Castara and Charlotteville. Swimming and snorkelling in the clear water are excellent.
