About This Anchorage
Nauvo (Swedish: Nagu) is the main population centre and service hub for the inner Turku Archipelago — the largest island in the Nauvon archipelago with a year-round community, school, shops, harbour, and the infrastructure that sustains island life through the winter. The island is connected to Turku by the famous archipelago road — a series of ferries and bridges crossing the inner archipelago channels that forms one of Finland's most scenic road routes. The harbour at Prostvik gives excellent shelter and full facilities: fuel, water, restaurant, and a grocery shop. For sailors heading out to the wilder islands, Nauvo is the last resupply before the true outer archipelago begins.

- →The harbour restaurant serves excellent local smoked fish and traditional Finnish cuisine at reasonable prices
- →Nauvo church (16th century granite) is one of the oldest intact churches in the archipelago — a 10-minute walk from the harbour
