Dijital Kafa Bilisim ve Danismanlik A.S. (“we”, “our”, or “Company”) operates the Logbook – Marine Logbook application (“App”) for iPhone and iPad. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Logbook Data

The App allows you to create and store logbook entries including voyage records, fuel logs, maintenance records, inventory, expenses, weather observations, marina stays, notes, checklists, and documents. All logbook data you enter is stored locally on your device. This data is created entirely by you and is not collected, accessed, or processed by us.

2.2 Photos and Documents

The App allows you to attach photos (from your camera or photo library) and documents to your logbook entries. These files are stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud backup, in your personal iCloud storage. We do not access, view, or process your photos or documents.

2.3 Preferences and Settings

The App stores your preferences locally on your device, including:

Boat name (optional, user-provided)
Language, currency, and unit preferences
Theme preference (light, dark, or system)
Fuel type preference
Notification/reminder settings

2.4 iCloud Backup

If iCloud is enabled on your device, the App may back up your logbook entries and attachments to your personal iCloud storage using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is stored in your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy practices. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2.5 Purchase Data

In-app subscriptions are processed and managed through the Apple App Store. We use an anonymous identifier to verify your subscription status and enable premium features. We do not collect personally identifiable information through the purchase process. All payment information is handled securely by Apple.

2.6 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Personal identification information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
Account credentials (no account creation or registration is required)
Payment or financial information (all payments are processed securely by Apple)
Location or GPS data
Device advertising identifiers (IDFA)
Contacts, microphone, or health data
Browsing or search history
Cookies or web tracking technologies

3. How We Use Information

3.1 Logbook Data

All logbook data is stored and processed locally on your device for the sole purpose of providing the App's functionality. We do not access, read, or analyze your logbook entries.

3.2 Purchase Data

Purchase data is used to:

Verify and manage your subscription status
Enable or restrict access to premium features
Process subscription purchases and restorations through the Apple App Store

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: All logbook data, attachments, and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms.
iCloud Backup: If enabled, your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account. This backup is encrypted and managed by Apple.
No External Servers: We do not operate any servers that store your personal data. Your logbook data never leaves your device except to your own iCloud account.
Third-Party Access: We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your data to any third parties, except as described in Section 5.
Data Deletion: All locally stored data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App. You can also delete individual entries, clear your trash, or export your data at any time within the App.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Apple iCloud (Data Backup)

If enabled on your device, your logbook data and attachments are backed up to your personal iCloud storage. Apple's privacy practices apply.

5.2 No Advertising or Analytics SDKs

The App does not include any third-party advertising, ad tracking, behavioral analytics, or user profiling SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. International Users

The App is available worldwide. All logbook data is processed and stored locally on your device. Since we do not transmit personal data to external servers, cross-border data transfer does not apply to locally processed data.

8. Your Rights

Since all logbook data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

Access: All your data is visible and accessible within the App at any time.
Export: You can export all your logbook data as PDF or CSV at any time.
Deletion: You can delete individual entries, empty the trash, or uninstall the App to remove all data.
Permission Control: You can revoke camera, photo library, or notification permissions at any time through iOS Settings.
Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription through iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

For EEA/UK/GDPR Users

Since we do not collect or transmit personal data to external servers, most GDPR data processing provisions do not apply. However, you may contact us at any time to exercise your rights under applicable data protection laws.

For California/CCPA Users

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, CCPA access and deletion requests are addressed through the local device controls described above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
