Nassau — 0.8m Tidal Range & Cruise Ship Traffic
Nassau receives 5–7 cruise ships daily — the world's busiest cruise port in peak season. The 0.8m tidal range is greater than most Caribbean cruisers expect — always anchor at your required minimum depth plus 0.8m. Cold front northers (November–April) can bring 30–40kt N winds within hours: monitor forecasts continuously and have an evacuation plan for exposed anchorages. Cruising Permit required (~$300, 3 months). Clear customs at Nassau on arrival.
