About This Anchorage
Glyngøre is a traditional Limfjord fishing village best known for the Sallingsund bridge (1978) which now connects the Salling peninsula to Mors island. The village has a small, active fishing harbour with a fleet of traditional Limfjord fishing smacks. Fresh eels — the Limfjord's most famous product — are available from the quay in summer, along with fresh flatfish and perch. The anchorage east of the harbour is comfortable in northerlies on excellent mud holding. The village has a basic shop and a summer fish restaurant at the harbour. The Sallingsund bridge has 26m clearance — yachts with air draught above 26m must turn back here. The scenery around Glyngøre is flat but characteristically Limfjord: reeds, willows, and distant church spires.

- →The Mors island (north side of bridge) has the excellent Morslands Historiske Museum covering Stone Age finds
