Tobago Cays: mooring balls mandatory — NO anchoring inside the Horseshoe Reef
The Tobago Cays Marine Park is a RAMSAR wetland and national protected area. Mooring balls are mandatory inside the Horseshoe Reef — XCD $30/boat/night (approximately USD $11). NO anchoring, NO fishing, NO collection of shells or coral inside the park. Hawksbill turtle nesting beaches are strictly protected — do not disturb. Marine park warden (orange patrol boat) collects fees daily. Arrive by 13:00 in peak season (Jan–Mar) to secure a mooring ball.
