Anchorages in Lisbon Coast & Cascais
Cascais Bay is the most practical overnight anchorage near Lisbon. The Berlengas archipelago (UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) has mooring buoys and restricted anchoring. The 4m tidal range requires careful depth planning — anchor in 3–6m at low water.
Berlengas UNESCO Reserve — Mooring Buoys Only
Free anchoring is prohibited inside the Berlengas reserve. Mooring buoys are available (fee applies). Contact Peniche Port Authority (VHF Ch 16 or +351 262 780 130) to reserve. Anchoring is permitted in the outer anchorage area only.
