Shallow waters throughout — chart depths may be unreliable

Blekinge and Skåne have the shallowest waters in Swedish sailing — many areas show 1–3m on older charts and may be less than that after decades of isostatic uplift. Use absolutely current digital charts. Karlskrona has military exclusion zones — check current NOTAMs before approaching restricted areas. Good entry/customs port for non-EU vessels.
