About This Anchorage
The Rade (Roads) of Saint-Tropez is one of the finest natural harbours on the French Riviera — a wide, well-protected gulf offering excellent holding and shelter from all directions except S. The village of Saint-Tropez on the N shore is legendary: Brigitte Bardot made it famous, and it remains one of the most glamorous yachting destinations in Europe. Superyachts anchor stern-to in the Vieux Port; the outer anchorage is free and excellent. The surrounding hills of the Massif des Maures give good shelter from the Mistral.
