Blue Lagoon is the best-sheltered anchorage anchorage near Kingstown — a nearly enclosed bay on the south coast of St. Vincent, home to the Blue Lagoon Marina and a favourite among Caribbean rally fleets and cruising sailors who want a comfortable base near the capital. The marina offers stern-to berths, water, electricity, and internet; the outer anchorage in the lagoon provides well-protected free anchoring on sand and mud. The marina can arrange customs clearance, making it one of the most convenient entry points in SVG. The facilities include a small restaurant and bar, laundry, and basic chandlery. The nearby village of Ratho Mill has a minimarket and rum shops. Blue Lagoon is also the base for several local sailing schools and charter operators, which means the anchorage has a sociable international atmosphere during the peak season. The 4nm passage to Argyle International Airport is easy — convenient for crew changes.

Hazards
