About This Anchorage
Hakefjord is the sheltered inner waterway on the east side of Tjörn island — one of the largest islands in Bohuslän. The island is connected to the mainland by the famous Tjörn Bridge and has a population of 15,000, giving it good town infrastructure at Skärhamn and Kållekärr. The inner fjord anchorage gives excellent all-round shelter except from W and NW, with superb mud/clay holding. Tjörn is home to the Nordic Watercolour Museum (Nordiska Akvarellmuseet) in Skärhamn — one of Scandinavia's finest art museums in a spectacular waterfront setting. The island's inner waters are calmer than the outer coast and suitable for less experienced crews.
