About This Anchorage

Kamień Pomorski (Cammin in German) is one of the most historic and attractive towns on the Szczecin Lagoon — its magnificent Romanesque cathedral (begun 12th century) is one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in northwest Poland. The town was an important medieval bishopric and retains substantial medieval fortifications. The bay in front of the town provides sheltered anchorage in soft lagoon mud. The annual Cathedral Organ Festival (June–July) draws audiences from across Europe. The town's spa character (mineral springs) gives it a refined, slightly old-fashioned character. An excellent destination for combining sailing and cultural tourism on the lagoon.
