About This Location
Calanque de Port-Miou is the most accessible of the three Cassis calanques from the sea — a long, narrow fjord-like inlet that leads to a yacht club and private marina at the inner end. The outer section allows anchoring on rock and mud with fair holding. Port-Miou is the essential base for visiting Calanque d'En-Vau and Port-Pin (both no-anchor zones): kayaks and paddleboards can be launched from here. The calanque is surrounded by the white limestone of the Bec de Sormiou ridge.
