80m
80m for fair granite-and-sand holding in 3–6m. Set the anchor on a sandy patch — granite means the hook may skate. Test with engine astern at 1500 rpm. Increase to 100m in any N or NE swell or wind above F3.
About This Anchorage
Allinge is the main service town for Bornholm's northwest coast — the natural gateway to Hammershus Castle (3nm west), with a well-equipped harbour holding 80 visiting yachts, a good supermarket, and several restaurants. The town is less touristy than Gudhjem and Svaneke, with a more workaday character and better provisioning. The outer anchorage east of the harbour is on sand and granite — fair holding but comfortable in southerly and westerly conditions. The Hammershus walk from Allinge (3nm along the coast path, 1.5 hours each way) is the finest coastal walk on Bornholm. The Allinge herring smokehouse is one of the last traditional smokehouses operating on the island's north coast. Allinge Folk High School (Nordbornholms Efterskole) occupies a dramatic clifftop position above the harbour.

- →The Allinge Røgeri still smokes herring in the traditional manner — the morning's production is sold direct from the smokehouse from 09:00
- →Allinge Folk Meeting (Folkemødet) is Denmark's annual outdoor political festival held on Bornholm each June — if visiting in June, expect very full harbours
